The JDZ axial in-line pressure compensator is a flexible joint that uses bellows to absorb pipe movement from heat or pressure. Think of it as a shock absorber for your pipelines! Key parts include:
- Stainless steel bellows (304/316L, 2-6 layers), handling 1.0-2.5MPa pressure;
- Inner sleeve to protect bellows from flow erosion;
- Limit bolts that keep the bellows from over-stretching;
- Flange or welded connections for DN50-DN1200 pipes.
When your pipes expand or contract from temperature changes (like steam heating up), the JDZ compensator:
- Moves axially—the bellows stretches or compresses to soak up the displacement (up to ±50mm);
- Balances pressure—limit bolts stop it from over-extending;
- Seals tight—graphite gaskets on flanges prevent leaks.
No more stress cracks from rigid pipes!
- Works with:water, steam, air, oil (up to 300℃); for acids, get 316L stainless;
- Compensation:8-12mm per bellows wave, total up to 50mm axial movement;
- Pressure & temp:1.0-1.6MPa, -20℃~400℃ (upgraded alloys for higher temps);
Steam networks
- In power plants: handles 250℃ steam expansion in main pipes;
- Heating systems: stops hot water pipes (70℃~130℃) from cracking at joints.
Industrial setups
- Chemical reactors: compensates for sudden temp changes (like 180℃ swings in polymer tanks);
- Compressed air lines: soaks up vibration from air compressors.
Municipal projects
- Wastewater plants: resists corrosion in aeration pipes;
- Underground heating: adapts to soil settlement in city pipelines.
Choosing the right model:
Just tell us your pipe size (DN), pressure (MPa), temp (℃), and how much it moves—e.g., JDZ-200-1.6-32 for DN200, 1.6MPa, 32mm movement.
Installation do's:
- Loosen limit bolts before installing, adjust them after pipes are in place;
- Follow the flow arrow—don't reverse it or the inner sleeve gets damaged;
- Make sure anchor supports can handle the thrust force (it's calculated as pressure × bellows area).
- Check quarterly:look for bellows bulges or loose flange bolts;
- Temp warning:if it runs 20℃ over design, check insulation;
- Fixing leaks:usually just needs retightening bolts diagonally (try 120N·m for DN200).

This JDZ compensator is a workhorse for straight pipes with axial movement—simple design, high efficiency. Not sure which model fits? Shoot us a message—we'll walk you through it without the technical jargon!
