Interview
1. Structure and Materials
Main Components:
Inner Layer: Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) or Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM), selected based on medium characteristics (NBR for oil resistance; EPDM for acid/alkali and high-temperature resistance).
Reinforcement Layer: Cross-woven polyester cord fabric, enhancing compressive strength and tear resistance.
Outer Layer: Chloroprene Rubber (CR) protective layer, anti-aging and weather-resistant for outdoor applications.
Connection Method: Standard flanges at both ends, made of Q235 carbon steel or stainless steel (304/316), compliant with GB/T 9119 or ANSI B16.5 standards.
2.
Product Features
Vibration and Noise Reduction: Rubber elastomer absorbs pipeline vibrations (e.g., mechanical vibrations from pumps/fans), reducing noise by 15-30dB.
Displacement Compensation: Adapts to thermal expansion, installation errors, or foundation settlement, preventing pipeline stress concentration and rupture.
Reliable Sealing: Inward flanged design at the flange-rubber sphere junction, combined with uniform bolt tightening, prevents medium leakage.
Medium Resistance: Depending on rubber material, withstands water, hot water, oil, weak acids/alkalis, compressed air, etc. (fluororubber FKM required for strong corrosives).
3.Installation Notes
Do not exceed rated pressure; install limit devices for high-pressure conditions.
Ensure parallel flanges during installation; tighten bolts symmetrically to prevent local deformation of the rubber sphere.
Verify medium compatibility (e.g., NBR must be used for oil, not EPDM).
Thermal expansion allowance for high-temperature media (over 80℃); insulate in cold regions to prevent rubber hardening.
Annual inspection: Check for loose flange bolts and outer rubber cracking/aging; replace seals promptly.
4.
Comparison with Double-Sphere Rubber Joints
Characteristic Single-Sphere Rubber Joint Double-Sphere Rubber Joint
Compensation Capacity Medium (axial ≤15mm) High (axial ≤25mm)
Pressure Resistance High (1.0-2.5MPa) Medium (0.6-1.6MPa)
Service Life Long (8-10 years) Medium (5-8 years, double-sphere ages faster)
Application High-pressure systems, severe vibration Large displacement compensation, low-pressure pipes
Compliance Standards
China: GB/T 26121-2010 Rubber Joints;
